tplinkwifi.net: Installation of TP-Link wireless router with a DSL Modem (PPPoE)

TP-Link router’s administrator panel can be entered using the tplinkwifi.net web address. You just have to type this web address simply in your browser’s address bar.

This procedure is not relevant to you in case you have any of the following conditions.
  • In case your modem is a fiber or a cable modem as you can get internet access automatically
  • from the modem without any other activity.
  • In case your ISP provides you a static IP address and before you buy the TP-Link router, you must configure your computer’s IP address manually to access the internet.

Prior to TP-Link router installation:

  •  You must turn off your modem, router, and computer.
  •  Establish the connection between your modem and router by connecting an Ethernet cable from the modem to the WAN port of the TP-Link router
  •  Also, connect your computer to the TP-Link router at the LAN port using an Ethernet cable.
  •  Power on your TP-Link router and your computer first and then power on your modem that is connected to your TP-Link router.
